Game is 3 weeks today and still no ticket details released, they've known about it ages now, very West Ham. Heading out there either way but be handy knowing if I'm watching it in ground or a ropey irish bar in the city

Simon - Good shout, a couple of days in Athens with a load of West Ham fans, hardly gonna be shit is it. I would rate your chances of getting a ticket pretty high, it's only a EL group game and isn't their stadium quite big? Never been to Athens also, meant to be a bit rough around the edges but with good nightlife, probably what you'd expect.

Re: olympiakos trip
There is an Athens based WHOer, he isn't active but did reply to a WHOie I sent him one time, so might be worth a shot. He said there is a boozer there where Irons sometimes meet up for games.

Cheers Manuel - only one night, but hopefully I’ll have the Friday to look around a bit. I like that this comp throws up places that I’d probably never visit otherwise. And fair play to Brighton who took a decent amount to Marseille. Somewhere else I’d probably never visit unless we played out there.

You can get a flight Tues-Fri from BHX with Aegean, £212.

Careful with wearing your colours out there, it can get quite tasty - to the extent that no away fans are allowed, at least in the Athens games.

I worked there for a bit and went to Olympiakos v Panathanikos a couple of years back (friend got me a ticket, used his tax payer id etc to get it), travelling from Athens to Piraeus, not a sign that there was a football match on until you reached the metro station for the game, at which point people unzipped jackets to reveal shirts, scarfs came out of pockets etc.

Stay safe everyone

Alfs

Bradford City. Got an assist after 5 mins of first match being played on the right wing where they'd never played in their life so that was a good start.

Blackburn Rovers at home tomorrow.

I see there is now a compulsory bus from the centre of Athens to the stadium now that must be paid for in addition to ticket from the club .

Good move by the Greeks to be honest, otherwise you're all on the same metro line

Re: olympiakos trip
gave up my season ticket at the end of last season and all the points that went with it so no chance of a ticket through the club ,will pop down the ground on the tuesday and see what is going .

Re: olympiakos trip
It makes you laugh that we have to go on the designated bus to get to a game and at at our own expense, we get banned for a vape. Imagine overseas fans not to be able to march to the game here.

Re: olympiakos trip
wouldnt surrpise me if west ham suggested this - put off fans and reduce exposure to olympiakos and make us pay for it.

works for me as my accom is close to the pickup spot.

Anyone live in Athens and errr able to get a home ticket?

I might try and do the same. I think there might be a chance in the home end, even if it could be a bit iffy. Bit of a different animal, but Sevilla was fine, and I was back in a tapas bar ten minutes after the game finished, unlike our fans who were kept in for a hour. This mob will probably keep us in longer.

Talking to someone last night whose in laws live in Piraeus and has been to games there, I wouldn't get a ticket in the home end. I would have done it for most of the other European aways if necessary, but not this one.

If you get a ticket in their end, be sure to wear a Green t shirt with G13 on it

I wouldn't bother, really not worth the risk. They don't even allow away supporters for Greek League matches, in Athens at least, too much aggro.

Re: olympiakos trip
But I suppose we will allow 3000 for them?
